Mac In Action
|
Mac In Action (aka MIA) is a student led volunteer agency located at Mac. This agency consists of eight students and two teacher advisors who work together as a team to strive for their ultimate goal: to promote volunteerism and change other's lives. This goal correlates with the theme of MIA this year: Pay it Forward, which simply is about doing good to others without asking for something in return.
MIA provides students at Mac with various opportunities to volunteer, from one-day events to year-long sites. Not only is MIA passionate about encouraging others to volunteer, they are also excited to make a difference. This year, MIA's big goal is to form a community network between local schools and together raise money to build a school in Kenya. Other plans include a carnival to raise school spirit, a Christmas food drive, Holiday show for Seniors and more!
Join Mac In Action this year to help change another's life whether by tutoring a young child in mathematics or by donating money to a worthy cause. No act of kindness is small or unnoticed. So join in on the fun, the excitement and the passion and Pay It Forward!
