Department of English

Department Information

The English department ranks as one of the largest departments in the school with 9 teachers teaching at least one class of English. As well as the core English courses, the department offers courses in Media Studies (Grades 11 and 12), Writer's Craft (Grade 12), and Dramatic Arts (Grades 9 - 12).

Department Goals

The department's goals are to help prepare students for the literacy demands they will face in the 21st century, and to encourage students to develop a life long love of reading and writing.
